Bhopal. 31 August (HS). Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh has been awarded “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). State Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar has congratulated and wished the Technical Education Department and the institute family on the important and proud achievement of SGSITS being accredited with “A” grade by NAAC.
Minister Parmar said in a statement issued on Saturday that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state government is setting new dimensions in the field of technical education. The state government is committed to providing quality and employment-oriented technical education to the students in the context of National Education Policy-2020.
Parmar said that Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore meeting the standards set by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in the field of technical education is praiseworthy and commendable. He said that all the technical educational institutes, universities and colleges of the state deprived of accreditation by NAAC should also make efforts to meet the standards of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
It is noteworthy that the team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council inspected the SGSITS Institute from 22 to 23 August 2024 and tested the institute on the basis of parameters like curriculum quality, teaching-training and evaluation, research, innovation, infrastructure and resources, student support and progress, governance, leadership management etc. Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) has been accredited with “A” grade on the prescribed standards by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), making the institute eligible for Deemed University.
It is noteworthy that Indore-based Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), established in the year 1952, is one of the oldest, most reliable and prestigious technical educational institutions of the state. Among the courses recognized by AICTE, 6 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate courses run at SGSITS institute are accredited by the National Accreditation Council (NBA). SGSITS institute has also been placed in the category of 201 to 300 in the list of leading technical educational institutions of the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) this year. The NAAC team reached Indore-based Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) for the first time in 72 years to inspect the institutional standards.
