MP: Heavy rain alert in four districts of the state including Singrauli-Anuppur today | News India

Bhopal, 18 August (HS). There is a possibility of rain once again in Madhya Pradesh. There is an alert of heavy rain in Singrauli, Panna, Katni and Anuppur of the state today on Sunday. While thunderstorms will continue in Gwalior, Jabalpur. At the same time, the weather will be clear in Malwa-Nimar i.e. Indore-Ujjain division. The capital Bhopal is sunny since morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, a strong rain system is becoming active from Monday, August 19. The monsoon trough is passing through Shivpuri, Sidhi in the state. It has turned into a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Its effect will be more visible in the state from Monday. The rain will continue due to the cyclonic circulation system. Due to this, there will be rain for two days in Rewa, Shahdol, Narmadapuram and Jabalpur divisions. While there will be a period of heavy rain in the entire state from August 20. At the same time, very heavy rain may occur on August 21 and 22.

Earlier, 36 mm i.e. 1.5 inches of rain fell in Gwalior district of the state on Saturday. Heavy rain also occurred in Pachmarhi and Betul districts of Narmadapuram district. 1 inch rain fell in Pachmarhi and more than half an inch in Betul. Light rain was also recorded in Chhindwara and Satna. Let us tell you that Mandla and Seoni are such districts of the state where the most rain has fallen. More than 42 inches of rain has fallen in Mandla and 41 inches in Seoni. 33 inches of water has fallen in Bhopal, which is 90 percent of the season. More than 30 inches of rain has fallen in 20 districts of the state. Sheopur and Narmadapuram districts are also ahead in terms of rain.

Although the heavy rains have stopped in the state, the water level in dams and ponds is increasing. Water is accumulating in water sources through rivers and streams. Water arrived in the dams on Saturday as well. These include Kolar, Bansagar, Kundalia, Bargi, Indira Sagar, Omkareshwar, Kaliyasot, Bhadbhada, Kerwa and other dams.
