Bhopal, 30 March (HS). The weather pattern in Madhya Pradesh has deteriorated for the last two days. Even on Saturday, after bright sunshine throughout the day, the weather suddenly changed in many areas in the evening. During this time, it started raining with strong winds in Chhindwara and Sidhi districts. Hail also fell along with it. Due to which crops are reported to be damaged. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of rain with high speed winds at some places in many districts of Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions on Sunday also. Partial clouds may remain in the remaining areas, but due to dry atmosphere the day temperature will start increasing.

According to the information received from Bhopal Meteorological Centre, at present five weather systems are formed at different places. The direction of the winds also remains south-easterly. Due to moisture coming with the winds, there are chances of rain in East Madhya Pradesh. On Sunday, there may be isolated rain with high speed winds in the districts of Jabalpur and Shahdol division. In the remaining places the weather will remain dry and the temperature will also increase. This time in the month of April, the heat is likely to be more intense than in previous years. The number of heat wave days may also increase.

According to the department, there was heat wave in Satna on Saturday. There were hot nights in Damoh, Khajuraho, Mandla and Satna. Amidst the two days of increased heat in the districts of Mahakoshal-Vindhya, hailstorm occurred in Umaria, Sidhi and Satna districts on Saturday. It rained in Chhindwara, Katni, Damoh and Dindori. One person has died due to lightning in Katni. There has been heavy hailstorm in village Nighari of Karkeli district area of ​​Umaria district. It rained for about 45 minutes and the Rabi crop was damaged due to intermittent hailstorms.

Earlier on Friday, rain and hailstorm caused heavy damage to crops in 22 villages of Chambal region. In Morena and Bhind districts, hailstorm has ruined the standing and harvested wheat and mustard crops in the fields. Up to 80 percent of crops have been damaged in 16 villages of Morena district and about six villages of Bhind district.

Senior meteorologist Ajay Shukla said that due to the effect of different weather systems formed at present, it is raining at some places in Madhya Pradesh. He said that a new western disturbance is likely to reach North India from April 3.
