MP: Chief Minister will distribute ex-gratia assistance amount today with single click

Bhopal, March 10 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute the amount of ex-gratia assistance scheme under the Chief Minister Public Welfare (Sambal 2.0) Scheme in Gwalior district today (Sunday). In 30 thousand 591 cases of the state, assistance amounting to Rs 678 crore will be transferred to the beneficiaries with a single click. Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Principal Secretary Sachin Sinha will be present in the program.

Public Relations Officer Pooja Thapak said that in the program, benefits will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the schemes of Madhya Pradesh Building Construction Workers Board, Sambal Yojana and Madhya Pradesh Labor Welfare Board.

He said that under the Sambal Yojana started by the state government in the year 2018, benefits worth more than Rs 4,900 crore have been distributed so far in more than five lakh 25 thousand cases. Sambal Yojana is a very important scheme for lakhs of workers working in the unorganized sector in the state, in which under the ex-gratia assistance scheme, Rs 4 lakh is provided in case of accidental death and Rs 2 lakh in case of normal death. Similarly, in case of permanent disability, Rs 2 lakh is provided, in case of partial permanent disability, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 5,000 are provided as funeral assistance. Under Sambal Yojana, 16 thousand rupees are given to women workers as maternity assistance, and free education is also provided to the children of the workers. This scheme of Madhya Pradesh is exemplary for all the states of the country.

41 lakh 35 thousand construction workers and their families have been linked to Ayushman Yojana by Madhya Pradesh Building Construction Workers Board. The state government is running 19 schemes through the board for more than 17 lakh registered construction workers and their families. Of these, under the Grace Assistance Scheme, assistance is provided in case of death of construction workers and in case of permanent and partial disability.

Madhya Pradesh Labor Welfare Board is running seven schemes in the interest of about seven lakh workers in the organized sector of the state, in which marriage assistance, welfare assistance, scholarship, funeral assistance, best labor and labor literary award schemes are the main ones.
