Indore, September 24 (HS). Madhu Verma, BJP MLA from Rau assembly seat of Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, suffered a heart attack on Tuesday morning. He was immediately admitted to the special Jupiter Hospital by his family, where his condition is said to be critical. He has been kept in the ICU, where doctors are constantly monitoring his condition.
According to the information, 72-year-old BJP MLA Madhu Verma was at home on Tuesday morning. He had breakfast and ate dabai. After this, he fainted. Verma's colleagues were at home at that time. They took him to the special Jupiter Hospital located on Ring Road by car and admitted him to the ICU. According to the doctors, his condition is said to be stable at the moment. Doctors say that he fainted due to low sugar level. His brother Balram Verma said that Madhu Verma had a heart attack, but now there is nothing to worry about. His treatment is going on. His condition is out of danger.
As soon as the news of MLA Verma's heart attack was received, his supporters and visitors reached the special Jupiter Hospital. Police force has been deployed in the hospital. Collector Ashish Singh, Police Commissioner Rakesh Gupta, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, City President Gaurav Randive and MLA Mahendra Hardia are present in the hospital.
It is worth noting that Madhu Verma has become MLA for the first time by defeating state Congress president Jitu Patwari by 35,522 votes from Rau assembly seat. He got 151672 votes in the assembly elections held last year in 2023. Madhu Verma has earlier been the chairman of Indore Development Authority. He has also got the status of Cabinet Minister of Backward Commission Class of Madhya Pradesh. Currently, he is working as the in-charge of Dewas district of BJP.
