Dehradun, 24 July (HS). Lok Sabha MP from Garhwal and National Media Head of Bharatiya Janata Party Anil Baluni met External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Wednesday. MP Baluni demanded opening of passport offices in Gopeshwar and Kotdwar under his Lok Sabha constituency.
MP Anil Baluni said that opening of passport offices in Gopeshwar and Kotdwar will provide convenience to the students and youth of Uttarakhand. Brilliant students and promising youth of Uttarakhand have a global presence. Opening of passport office will provide them this facility in their own area and they will get relief from the inconvenience of going to distant passport offices. It will also save time and money.
MP Baluni said that the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to provide basic amenities to the common people and to fulfill their expectations and aspirations. On MP Baluni's demand, the Foreign Minister assured that in view of geographical disparities, the Ministry will soon take action in this regard.
