Moving away from the Jeep Avenger 4xe, the SUV gets a hybrid powertrain with an AWD system


New Delhi: Jeep has introduced a new version of the Avenger in the global market. It is called the Avenger 4xe and combines a petrol internal combustion engine with electric motors for an all-wheel drive system. This SUV was till now sold only with an electric vehicle and an internal combustion engine.

Features of Jeep Avenger 4xe

The Jeep Avenger 4xe has a top speed of 194 kmph and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds using the e-boost function. Jeep is also offering a 48-volt hybrid system to enhance the power and efficiency of this SUV.

Being an off-road vehicle, it also gets Jeep's Select-Terrain with Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud modes. It also has a Sport mode. The Avenger 4xe has a 22-degree approach, 21-degree breakover and 35-degree departure angle.

Display on engine

The Jeep Avenger 4xe is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine mated to electric motors and a gearbox. The engine produces 135 bhp, while the electric motors are capable of producing 28 bhp. The engine powers the front wheels using a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while the rear wheels are powered by electric motors that are capable of delivering a torque output of 1,900 Nm.

Jeep has announced that they will start taking orders for the Avenger 4xe by the fourth quarter of 2024 and it will be available in two trims – Overland and Upland. Jeep currently has no plans to bring the Avenger to the Indian market.
