Jhansi, 20 April (Hindustan Reporter). Rashtriya Bhakta organization on Saturday opened a front against the corruption prevalent in the transport department. Alleged that work is not done without bribe in various matters including private overloading and non-action against vehicles running on the roads without permit and registration. The patriotic organization camped demanding action against the corrupt.
Dozens of workers under the leadership of Anchal Adjariya, Central President of Rashtriya Bhakta Organization, reached the RTO office and surrounded it, accusing the RTO office of being involved in corruption. Anchal Adjariya said that overloaded vehicles are running on the roads without permits. Due to which road accidents are continuously increasing. He said that at many places, private bus operators are illegally setting up their bus stops at places like Elite Square, Bus Stand, Ashok Tiraha etc. On which the RTO department is not taking any action. They allege that the RTO department makes illegal recovery every month, hence does not take action against them and stops the vehicles of poor people going to wedding processions and seizes them. Illegal recovery is being made from buses and overloaded vehicles and they are being made to run.
In the department, work related to license, permit, fitness etc. is not done without bribe. There is a huge maze of brokers, but no action is being taken. Due to this, Rashtra Bhakta organization is waging a movement. He said that his agitation will continue until this corruption is not curbed.
