Bhagalpur, March 22 (HS). There is mourning among the teachers of the area due to the untimely demise of about 50 year old block teacher Srinivas Das, a resident of Silhan, a teacher working in the middle school Baijnathpur of Silhan Khajuria Panchayat under Sanhaula block of the district.
During the conversation, school teacher Santosh Kumar Singh told that he was ill for some time and had come to school on Wednesday. But on Thursday morning, as soon as the news of his sudden death due to heart attack was received, there was a wave of mourning among the teachers. The late teacher was working in Middle School Baijnathpur since 2005. Due to departmental pressure, financial constraints and lack of leave, he was not able to get his treatment done on time. Due to which he fell into the lap of untimely times. He left behind his wife, two sons and a daughter, who are in poor condition and crying.
The elder son is studying in ITI, while the younger son is studying Polytechnic from Bhopal and the daughter is studying in the final year of graduation. The entire family was shattered by the untimely demise of Srinivas Das. His wife is lying unconscious and the only thing he has to say is how will his entire family be fed and how will his son and daughter be educated.
Hearing the news of the teacher's demise, there was a wave of mourning among all the students, parents and villagers. On Friday, in front of family members and hundreds of teachers, he was cremated by his elder son Raman at the crematorium in Kahalgaon.
