Mourning observed on Imam Hussain's martyrdom day, Tazia procession taken out

Ramgarh, 17 July (HS). Mourning was observed in the district on the martyrdom day of Imam Hussain. A Tazia procession was taken out on Muharram. Muslim brothers celebrated the 10th day of Muharram as the day of Roz-e-Ashura. Because on this day Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad, was martyred. As soon as the moon of Muharram was sighted, a series of meetings started in the houses and Imambaras of all the Muslims. People of the Muslim community mourned the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and took out processions. Apart from Golpar, Poorni Mandap, Nai Sarai, Manuva Phulsarai, Sirka, Argadda of Ramgarh city, Tazia processions were taken out in Kuju, Mandu, Bhurkunda, Patratu, Chitarpur, Gola, Dulmi, Barkakana area.

Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, was martyred on the tenth day of the month of Muharram. To commemorate this grief, every year on the day of Ashura, tazias are taken out which is a symbol of mourning. This is why this month is also called the month of mourning.

Although the entire month of Muharram is a very pious and sad month. But the 10th day of Muharram, which is called Roz-e-Ashura, is the most special. 1400 years ago, Prophet Mohammad's grandson Imam Hussain was martyred on the 10th of Muharram. To commemorate the same grief, Tazias are taken out on the 10th of Muharram.
