MoU signed between IIT Kanpur and BFI, there will be progress in the field of health


Kanpur, 17 April (HS). An agreement has been signed between IIT Kanpur and BFI to develop healthcare solutions and improve public health. This will accelerate healthcare innovation in India and BFI will give 1.5 lakh US dollars in three years to the Startup Incubation and Innovation Center (SIIC) of Kanpur IIT.

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) and Blockchain for Impact (BFI) announced a significant partnership to foster innovations and drive progress in the healthcare sector in India under the BFI-Biome Virtual Network programme. Under this collaboration, BFI will support IIT Kanpur in promoting entrepreneurship initiatives through Startup Incubation and Innovation Center (SIIC). BFI has committed to allocate over USD 1.5 million over three years to develop a program specifically tailored for healthcare-focused startups at SIIC. This collaboration will leverage IIT Kanpur's established leadership in promoting entrepreneurship and BFI's commitment to advancing biomedical research. By combining these strengths, the partnership aims to develop impactful solutions that address critical gaps in India's healthcare landscape.

IIT Dean of Resources and Alumni Prof. Kantesh Balani said that this MoU will help us share knowledge, support startups effectively and improve our capacity building efforts. By bringing together diverse expertise and resources, this collaboration holds immense potential for improving public health and ensuring equitable and accessible health care for all.
