Kanpur, 08 August (HS). Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISKCON Kanpur to strengthen the inner potential of the youth through Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta. While this will enable students to receive stress-free education, this MoU will also contribute significantly in character building of the youth.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, said on Thursday that the main objective of the MoU is to provide a stress-free, drug-free and positive life to the students coming to the university through the message of the Bhagavad Gita. Under this MoU, various programs like Gita Jayanti Utsav, Ramnavami Utsav, Krishna Janmashtami and many value-added courses like self-development workshops, Gita courses, memory management, time management, etc. will be organized for the youth of the university through the GYST Club established by ISKCON in CSGM University, while organizing regular Bhagavad Gita sessions.
Along with this, various social service works like distribution of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, plantation of trees for environmental protection, positive initiatives of education and development in rural areas etc. will also be taken. Soon, ISKCON Kanpur will also provide tasty Satvik Prasad to the students through Satvik Mess in the campus of CSJM University. Along with this, an agreement was also reached to create an exhibition of the knowledge of Gita through a Gita exhibition in the university, which will remain a center of attraction for the people of Kanpur for years to come.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Awasthi, Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, Finance Officer Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Deputy Director of ISKCON Kanpur Youth Forum Hari Kripa Das Prabhu, Ankur Prabhu and other devotees from ISKCON were present.
