Jaipur, 10 May (HS). Central University of Rajasthan and Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of promoting academic collaboration and promoting excellence in education, research and innovation.
Professor Suresh Joshi, Director, Center for Surgical Infections and Biofilms, Drexel University, USA and Professor Anand Bhalerao, Vice Chancellor, Rajasthan Central University were present at the MoU signing ceremony held at the Central University of Rajasthan.
The agreement will cover various areas of collaboration including student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, shared academic resources and collaborative publications.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Anand Bhalerao, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Rajasthan, expressed happiness about the partnership, saying, the signing of an MoU with the 233 year old and known as Global Urban Research University, Rajasthan Central University It is a matter of pride for us.
He further mentioned that this MoU will also open a new way for students to split the course credits between Central University of Rajasthan and Drexel University. Students will also be able to obtain a degree from Drexel University and become eligible for employment in the USA. This MoU will definitely open avenues for our students and teachers to engage in international learning experiences including student teacher exchange programmes, collaborative projects and interdisciplinary research, joint participation in seminars and conferences etc.
He said that initially our focus will be on two major areas including biomedical science and life science and then in future we can take it further.
Professor Suresh Joshi, Director, Center for Surgical Infections and Biofilms, Drexel University, USA, also shared insights on the collaborative opportunities created by the MoU, saying, “We are excited about this partnership with Central University of Rajasthan, which will further our global education and This is in line with our commitment to research collaboration. Through this MoU, we aim to promote a rich exchange of ideas, cultural diversity and innovative solutions to address global challenges. He further said that we will make a good start with a few programs and then in future we can also enter into program specific agreements with a single window structure.
The MOU reflects the dedication of both institutions to advance scholarship, promote inter-cultural understanding and prepare students for global leadership roles in diverse fields. It symbolizes the commitment towards excellence in education and research, which will benefit not only the institutions but also the wider academic community.
