District and Sessions Judge Devraj Tripathi has sentenced Kunal Singh after finding him guilty in the case of recovery of sophisticated weapons. Along with this, the court has also sentenced Kunal to a fine of Rs 42 thousand under various sections. Kunal Singh will have to serve additional punishment for not paying the fine. In this case, during the trial of Sessions Case No. 1028/2023, Additional Public Prosecutor Subhash Chandra Yadav presented the prosecution's side by presenting 11 witnesses in the court. Advocate Kanhaiya Prasad Singh presented his side on behalf of the defence.

It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, May 7, the court had convicted Kunal Singh and on Wednesday, May 8, the court gave its verdict on the point of punishment. In his decision, the judge, while discussing the 21 criminal cases against the accused Kunal Kumar Singh, found him guilty in about half a dozen criminal and Arms Act cases and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Police recovered a loaded 9 mm pistol, two magazines of 9 mm, 20 cartridges of 9 mm, mobile and six walkie talkies from Kunal Kumar Singh. An AK 47 rifle kept in a bag covered with a blanket was recovered from his house, which had a 25 bullet magazine. The police also recovered a Bullet motorcycle. Let us tell you that Kunal Kumar Singh is the son of Ashrafi Singh, resident of Kudiya Bangri of Piprakothi police station. He is included in the list of notorious criminals of the district. A total of 17 serious cases are registered against Kunal Singh in several police stations of East and West Champaran.
