Auraiya, 27 June (HS). On Thursday, a woman resident of a village in the district's Phaphund police station area drowned her three sons in a river, committing a heartbreaking incident. She had brought her four sons to the river bank to kill them. The eldest eight-year-old son survived. After the mother left the scene of the incident, the son somehow came to the bridge of the river and informed the people of the nearby village about the incident. The villagers informed the police. The Superintendent of Police also reached the scene of the incident. The bodies of the three deceased teenagers were recovered and sent for postmortem. The mother accused of murder was also arrested by the police.
Priyanka, 28 years old daughter of Bhure Savita, resident of village Baraua of Phaphund police station area, was married to Avnish Savita, resident of village Luiya of Basrehar police station area, about ten years ago. Two years ago Avnish died due to electric shock at home, since then Priyanka was living in her in-laws' house. Her uncle's father-in-law's son, who is her brother-in-law, used to visit Priyanka. After discussion in the village, Priyanka started living in her maternal home Baraua of Phaphund police station area six months ago, then her uncle's brother-in-law started living with her in the village. One month ago, both of them started living in a rented room in Auraiya. Priyanka's four sons Sonu 8 years, Aditya 7 years, Madhav 6 years and Mangal 1.5 years were also living with her. Brother-in-law was managing the expenses by cutting hair, but both of them started fighting every day.
On Thursday early morning, Priyanka left for village Baraua from Auraiya with her four sons. In village Devarpur, people saw that three children were walking on foot while a woman was carrying a child in her lap. She crossed the bridge of Sengar river with the children and reached the river ghat towards village Talhepur in Auraiya Kotwali area and started drowning and killing the children. Aditya (7 years), Madhav (6 years), Mangal (1.5 years) died while the eldest son Sonu (8 years) somehow survived. After the mother left the spot, Sonu somehow came on the road. Crossing the bridge, he went to the nearby village Keshampur and told about the incident. A crowd of thousands gathered at the spot. A huge police force including the police captain reached the spot. The police sent the bodies of the three teenagers for postmortem. The mother accused of murder was also arrested by the police. Regarding the mother who came to kill the four sons, the eldest son Sonu (8 years) said that mother brought us all to the river and killed us by drowning in water. She drowned me too. I had closed my eyes. After my mother left, I went to the street. I met an uncle and told him. Sonu was with his maternal grandfather who is now in police custody.

The clothes of the deceased children such as their shirts, vests, shorts and some money were lying on the bank of the river. The clothes of the children kept at the crime scene were telling the story of the horrific scene committed by the mother.
Priyanka had informed her aunt Geeta over the phone that she was upset with her life and was going to commit suicide by consuming poison. She tried to convince her but later she got to know that Priyanka had killed her three children.
