Mother in jail, daughter gets IAS job, now case filed against Pooja Khedkar's father too

Pooja Khedkar's father is also facing criminal proceedings: After the arrest of the mother of Pooja Khedkar, who got an IAS job by fraud, using fake documents and taking advantage of the disabled quota, her father is also facing arrest. Pooja Khedkar is also facing legal action, police have said that a case has been registered against her father as well.

According to police officials, Puja Khedkar's father Dilip Khedkar has been accused of threatening and obstructing a government employee of Pune district. Her father may also be arrested based on a complaint lodged at the Bundgarden police station by a Mamlatdar of the Pune District Collectorate.

The father threatened the Mamlatdar

An official said that when Puja Khedkar was on duty as Assistant Collector, Dilip Khedkar allegedly threatened Mamlatdar Deepak Akade. He also asked him to give a separate cabin to his daughter. Puja's father has no right to interfere in government work.

As soon as the complaint was made, Pooja Khedkar went underground

UPSC recently cancelled the selection of Pooja Khedkar and banned her from all future examinations and selections. She has gone underground since a primary complaint was filed against her in Delhi. Pooja Khedkar is accused of providing false information in her application for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2022.

A senior Pune police official said, “After receiving a complaint from the district administration, we registered a case against Dilip Khedkar under sections 186 (obstructing public works), 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. The incident took place in June this year.

Both father and wife are involved in criminal activities

Notably, Pune's Paud police had also registered a case of criminal intimidation against retired government official Dilip Khedkar, accusing his wife Manorama of pointing a gun at a man over a land dispute in the Mulshi area. Dilip Khedkar had got anticipatory bail in that case, while his wife Manorama was arrested by the Pune rural police. However, she was recently released on bail by the court.
