Heavy Rain in Porbandar: Due to the stormy batting of Meghraj, there is universal rain in Saurashtra Panthak. But Saurashtra has been receiving heavy rains since yesterday. Then the fierce form of Meghraj has been seen in Porbandar district as well. Due to the continuous torrential rains, water has filled everywhere. After heavy rains in Ranavav, water is seen everywhere. Then the mother and son trapped in the heavy rains contacted the District Collector and both were rescued.

Mother and son trapped in the disaster of heavy rains in Ranavav contacted the District Collector at midnight, Collector K.D. Lakhani informed the Mamlatdar and the Chief Officer and the mother and son were rescued.

According to the information received, Porbandar district received heavy rains at night. Due to heavy rains in Ranavav, mother and son got caught in the rain. Mother trapped in the disaster of heavy rains District Collector Shri K.D. Lakhani was contacted directly on the phone. The system was instructed to rescue the mother and son trapped in trouble due to water entering the house at midnight. The collector informed the Mamlatdar and the Chief Officer about the woman being trapped, so immediately the fire department team was sent to the spot and the fire department team saved the lives of the mother and son trapped in the disaster. Due to the rain, they were shifted to a safe place.

Porbandar district has received heavy rain of 20 inches in the last 36 hours. Yesterday, on the 18th, 350 mm rain fell and till 6 pm on the 19th, 215 mm rain has fallen. Thus, 565 mm rain has fallen in 36 hours. Due to which life was affected, the teams of the district administration remained in the field and carried out rescue operations during the day since last night. Porbandar Collector KD Lakhani said that after the forecast of heavy rain, the system was already on alert and from last night, various teams were formed and immediate action was taken in the water-logged areas.
