More than two kilograms of opium seized from youths who fled after seeing the police

Chittorgarh, June 22 (His). The Chanderia police station of the district, while taking action against illegal drug smuggling, arrested two accused with 2 kg 110 grams of illegal opium during patrolling. Both these accused ran away after seeing the police, which aroused suspicion. When the police chased and searched them, opium was recovered from their possession.

Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi said that Chanderia police station in-charge Dharamraj Meena along with his team was out on patrol. During this time, two persons were seen crossing the Bhilwara highway road near Rolaheda culvert. On seeing the police, they tried to run away. On finding their activities suspicious, they were stopped, questioned and searched. A total of 2 kg 110 grams of illegal opium was found in their possession. It was seized and the accused Kailashchandra son of Shambhulal Prajapat, resident of Pachunda in Begu police station area of ​​Chittorgarh district and Shobhalal son of Nanalal Dhakad, resident of Balwantnagar police station Begu, were arrested. On this, a case under NDPS Act was registered at Chanderia police station and investigation is going on.
