Gujarat Rain Update: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in different parts of Gujarat due to the system formed in the Arabian Sea near Lakshadweep. As a result, rainy weather has persisted in some parts for the last few days. Even today, there was considerable rainfall throughout the day in 87 talukas of the state.
Dasada in Surendranagar district received the highest ever rainfall of 75 mm (2.95 inches) today, according to data released by the Gandhinagar-based State Emergency Operations Centre. After which 64 mm (2.87 inches) of rain has occurred in Visavadar of Junagadh. The special thing is that these two taluks have received so much rain in the last 2 hours.
Apart from this, 65 mm (2.56 inches) of rain was received in Bhuj of Kutch, 59 mm (2.32 inches) in Dediapara of Narmada, 59 mm (2.32 inches) in Bodeli of Chhota Udepur, 55 mm (2.17 inches) in Wangiya of Bharuch. Waghai in Dangs received 42 mm (1.65 inches) of rain, Amreli 42 mm (1.65 inches), Curzon in Vadodara 41 mm (1.61 inches), Jambughoda in Panchmahal 39 mm (1.54 inches) and Dabhoi in Vadodara 1.54 inches. .
Significant rainfall occurred in 45 talukas of the state during the 2-hour period from 6 pm to 8 pm. Today, 22 talukas received more than 1 inch of rain and 7 talukas received more than 2 inches of rain throughout the day. On one hand, people are feeling relief from the heat due to the cool weather due to rain, while on the other hand, farmers are facing the fear of loss in other crops including groundnut.
The atmosphere of Dwarka district also changed this afternoon. There has been torrential rain of 1.25 inches in Khambhaliya city.
