More than one lakh rupees returned to victim’s account from cyber thugs

The police team of Cyber ​​​​Crime Police Station was successful in getting back Rs 1 lakh 27 thousand 468 in the account of the victim who had committed debit card fraud in the name of purchasing household items. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Ashish Srivastava on Monday.

He told that a call was received from an unknown number on the number of Pradeep Kumar Mehrotra, resident of Chawal Mandi Chowk of Feelkhana police station area of ​​Kanpur city. He told that he was talking to Jio Mart, after which Rs 147000 was deducted from his account without his knowledge. When he suspected that he had been cheated. On this he immediately came to the Crime Branch police station and filed a complaint. The police team of cyber station took their complaint and started investigating the case. In this regard, correspondence was made with the concerned bank and Rs 1 lakh 27 thousand 468 was returned to the victim’s account. The victim thanked the cyber cell as soon as he got the money back in his account.

He has appealed to the people of Kanpur not to tell their account code and OTP to any person calling from an unknown number. Otherwise you will become a victim of cyber fraud.
