Moradabad, 09 August (HS). More than one lakh Kanwariyas left for Brijghat (Garhmukteshwar) from Moradabad to perform Jalabhishek on the fourth Monday of the month of Sawan. Since Friday morning, the Kanwar fleet is going to Brijghat dancing and singing on big vehicles with DJ. All of them will reach Moradabad by Sunday night and will fulfill their resolution by performing Jalabhishek on Monday.
Like every year, this time also thousands of Kanwar fleets from Moradabad left for Brijghat on Friday morning to perform Jalabhishek on Monday of Sawan month. The Kanwar fleets are going to Brijghat with big DJs installed in trucks, trolleys, DCMs etc. Shiv devotees carrying Kanwars from Haridwar had left five days ago. Local Kanwariyas will return from Haridwar and Brijghat by Sunday evening with Kanwars filled and will complete their resolution by performing Jalabhishek on the Shiv family on Monday. It takes three days to bring Kanwars on foot from Brijghat and 8 days to bring it from Haridwar. Shiv devotees reach Brijghat and Haridwar by vehicles and after taking bath in the river Ganga there, they bathe the Kanwar and decorate it. Then after filling Gangajal in it and performing Puja, they come to Moradabad on foot with Kanwar on their shoulders. Then they complete their resolution by offering Kanwars in ancient Siddhpeeth temples and temples in their colony.
