More than 500 people were given medicine in the filariasis camp at Navodaya Vidyalaya

To eradicate filariasis, the government organized camps under Mass Drug Administration and went door-to-door to provide anti-filarial medicine to everyone except those under 2 years of age, seriously ill and pregnant women, and fed them appropriate doses of DEC and Albendazole. Medicines were given by organizing a camp in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Block in-charge Dr. Chandra Gupta said that under the universal drug intake campaign in the district, a fixed dose of anti-filarial medicine is being administered to the eligible beneficiaries. For the successful operation of this campaign, preparations had been made before starting the campaign. Under this, camps would be organized where the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries would be found and medicines would be administered. Under this, on Tuesday, a camp was organized and medicines were given to the students studying in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya to keep them free from filariasis.
