Kabul: Afghanistan is in a bad situation. More than 300 people have died due to floods that occurred after heavy rains. Apart from this, more than two thousand houses have been destroyed and many houses have been damaged. Due to this many houses have been flooded. The worst floods have occurred in Baghlan, Badak Khan, Ghor and Herat areas of Afghanistan after heavy rains.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the main spokesman for the Taliban government, said on the social media platform X that the floods had caused massive deaths and injuries. Many people have been displaced as their homes have been destroyed.

Badakhshan, Baghlan, Herat and Ghor suffered the most financial losses and casualties, he said.

He said that the government has deployed all resources to save the people. The injured are being sent to the hospital and the dead bodies are being disposed of.

The Taliban's Defense Ministry said that the country's Air Force has started the rescue operation. Many people are stranded in flood affected areas. He has been airlifted. Earlier, officials had claimed that more than 70 people had died due to heavy rains and floods.

More than 20 bodies are lying in government hospitals in Takhar province adjacent to Baghlan. The troubles in Afghanistan are not ending. People were still facing many troubles and problems and now the flood has turned their situation upside down. Life has become a dilemma for them. The day has come when Afghans will live on biscuits under the UN food relief programme.
