More than 140 villagers were treated in the free eye check-up camp | News India

Hazaribagh, 30 September (Hindustanism). Under the Gondulpara Coal Mining Project, an eye check-up camp was organized by Adani Foundation in Barkagaon on Monday. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by Baby Kumari, head of Mahugai Kala and Shamsher Alam, deputy head of Chandaul Panchayat. On this occasion, both the public representatives appreciated the efforts of Adani Foundation in facilitating this important health initiative. More than 140 villagers of different age groups were treated free of cost in the camp. Now soon free spectacles will also be distributed among the patients suffering from visual impairment. A skilled team of ophthalmologists and support staff from NGO HelpAge India provided their services throughout the camp. During the camp, diseases like visual impairment, weak eyesight and cataract were found among the villagers. On the spot, the doctors made the patients aware about eye health and after detecting vision defects, they also gave necessary treatment advice to the villagers.

It is noteworthy that free Belt Force Training Center is being run by Adani Foundation in Barkagaon block. Candidates from this center are continuously becoming successful in Agniveer examination. At the same time, along with treatment, essential medicines are being provided to the villagers in the free medical camp. Apart from this, science and mathematics teachers have also been appointed in Harli High School, so that the students can get quality education. Adani Foundation is continuously taking new initiatives in social work.
