Rain in Gujarat: After a break of a few days, it has rained again in Gujarat. While the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the state till September 30, it has rained in various parts of the state since this morning. In Ahmedabad too, the weather changed in the afternoon and by night, many parts of the city received rain showers. Ahmedabad city has received 11 mm of rain throughout the day today.

After a break of a few days, rain has started again in Gujarat. Heavy rain has occurred in some parts of South Gujarat and Central Gujarat. The weather in Ahmedabad also changed in the afternoon. By evening, there were showers at many places in the city.

According to the data released by the Gandhinagar-based State Emergency Operations Center, 125 talukas of the state received heavy rainfall from 6 am to 10 pm today. Out of which the highest rainfall of 137 mm (5.39 inches) was recorded in Umarpada of Surat district. Apart from this, 79 mm (3.11 inches) rain was recorded in Surat city, 77 mm (3.03 inches in Vadodara city, 66 mm (2.60 inches in Navsari), 60 mm (2.36 inches in Sabarkantha province), Mandvi and Gandevi in ​​Surat. Navsari received 52-52 mm (2.05 inches) of rain.

Today, 18 talukas have received more than 1 inch of rain throughout the day. While 7 talukas have received more than 2 inches of rain, 3 talukas have received more than 3 inches of rain and one taluka has received more than 5 inches of rain.

During the two hours from 8 pm to 10 pm, 72 talukas of the state received rain. Out of which the maximum rainfall of 72 mm (2.83 inches) was recorded in Umarpada of Surat district. Apart from this, 33 mm (1.30 inches) was recorded in Bijapur of Mehsana, 24 mm in Chhota Udaipur, 23 mm in Navsari, 21 mm in Kamrej of Surat.
