More than 1.14 crore students of 88 thousand schools of Rajasthan created a world record by doing Surya Namaskar

Jaipur, 15 February (HS). On the occasion of Surya Saptami, more than 1.33 crore people, including students, have created a world record by participating in the mass practice program of Surya Namaskar organized in government and non-government schools of Rajasthan on Thursday. This world record has been recognized by the Rajasthan Edition of the World Book of Records, London.

Expressing happiness over this special achievement, Education Minister Madan Dilawar expressed gratitude to the students, teachers, parents, public representatives, institution heads and people from different sections of the society who participated in making it successful. He has appreciated the efforts of the entire team of the School Education Department for playing a conscious and responsible role in the well-organized management of this event.

Education Minister Madan Dilawar was presented the provisional certificate of this world record by Rajasthan Pratham Bhalla, Vice President of the World Book of London, at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute on Thursday. On this occasion, Government Secretary of School Education Department Naveen Jain, Commissioner of Rajasthan School Education Council and State Project Director Avichal Chaturvedi, Special Government Secretary of School Education Department Chitra Gupta, Director of Secondary Education Ashish Modi and Deputy Director Shala Darpan Tulika Garg along with officials of the Education Department were present. Officers and employees were present.

Naveen Jain, Government Secretary, School Education Department, said that Surya Namaskar was practiced simultaneously in all government and non-government schools of the entire state at the same time on Thursday from 10.30 am to 11 am. In this, one crore 14 lakh 69 thousand 914 students of 88 thousand 974 schools performed Surya Namaskar. A total of one crore 33 lakh 50 thousand 889 people including students participated in these events. Apart from the students, education department personnel, public representatives, parents, officials and people from different sections of the society participated in it. He told that 64 lakh 30 thousand 277 students of 66 thousand 990 government schools and 50 lakh 39 thousand 637 students of 21 thousand 984 non-government schools of the state performed Surya Namaskar. 77 lakh 63 thousand 374 people including students in government schools and 55 lakh 87 thousand 515 people in non-government schools participated in these events.
