Moradabad, 02 November (HS). When the new time table of Railways is released in January 2025, Moradabad Railway Division may get three new trains. Apart from this, two Amrit Bharat Expresses are expected to be available between Delhi to Bihar and Punjab to Bihar via Moradabad. Aditya Gupta, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in Moradabad Railway Division of Northern Railway, said on Saturday that route plan and timetable have been sought from the zonal headquarters to run Amrit Bharat trains between Delhi-Darbhanga and Amritsar-Saharsa. After this the board will give its final approval.
Senior DCM Aditya Gupta said that 26 Amrit Bharat trains were discussed in a high level meeting of the Railways last month. Of this, three may come under the share of North Eastern Railway and two of Northern Railway. Amrit Bharat trains have normal sleeper and general coaches. There is no need for reservation in these trains. Passengers can travel by taking unreserved tickets. Keeping in view the traffic between Delhi-Bihar and Delhi-Punjab, Railways is planning to run these long distance trains via Moradabad.
