Moradabad got a target of 3451 for Chief Minister's mass marriage

Moradabad, 7 August (HS). District Social Welfare Officer Shailendra Kumar Gautam said on Wednesday that the department has received a target of 3451 for mass marriages in Moradabad district this financial year. In comparison to which, about 500 applications have been received so far and the application process is ongoing.

The District Social Welfare Officer further informed that an online portal https://cmsvy.upsdc.gov.in/ has been started for the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme for the mass marriage of daughters of poor people belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Minority Class and General Class. On this portal, beneficiaries can apply online as per the details of the necessary documents.

District Social Welfare Officer Shailendra Kumar Gautam said that mass marriage program in the district will be organized in the current financial year only on the basis of online applications, so eligible families should apply and avail the benefit of Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. For verification of these online application forms, they are being sent to the respective Block Office, Municipal Office or Nagar Panchayat Office. After verification, the mass marriage program of the beneficiaries identified as per the eligibility as per the rules will be conducted with full rituals on the dates fixed by the government or the District Magistrate.
