Supernatural comedy film 'Moonjya' is getting a lot of word of mouth publicity. The film earned Rs 7.4 crore on the second day. This has increased its earnings by 75 percent. The film earned Rs 4 crore 21 lakh on the opening day. Now its total collection in two days has become Rs 11 crore 61 lakh. While its occupancy was 21.49% on the first day, it increased to 30.99% on the second day. Notably, despite not having any big star, the film has done better first day collection than many films released currently.
The film is directed by Aditya Sarpoddar, starring Sharvari and Abhay Verma. It is jointly produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. This is Maddock's fourth film in the supernatural universe after 'Stree', 'Roohi' and 'Bhediya'. The earnings of 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' have also increased on Saturday. The film, which collected Rs 24 crore 89 lakh in the first week, did a business of only Rs 1 crore 31 lakh on the second Friday. However, it performed better on the second Saturday and collected Rs 2 crore 22 lakh. Now the total collection of this film has become Rs 28 crore 42 lakh. The film is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Karan Johar. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma, who has previously worked with Janhvi in 'Gunjan Saxena'. 'Saavi', which released along with 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' on May 31, collected Rs 13.25 crore in the first week.
