Monsoon entry in Maharashtra on June 10
The Meteorological Department says that monsoon may arrive in entire Maharashtra including Mumbai by June 10. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Mumbai between June 6 and June 10. According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, more pre-monsoon rains are expected during this week before the arrival of the southwest monsoon. Due to which the temperature of Mumbai may decrease. Mumbai is likely to receive normal pre-monsoon rains between June 7 and 10. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Mumbai is likely to be between 33 to 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 27 to 28 degree Celsius throughout the week.

On the morning of June 5, pre-monsoon rains occurred in many parts of Mumbai. This brought relief to people from the scorching heat and humidity for some time. Light rain started in some areas of Mumbai from around 7 am. According to BMC, areas like Dadar, Kandivali, Matunga, Oshiwara, Wadala, Ghatkopar etc. of the city received rainfall ranging from 4 mm to 26 mm between 7 am and 8 am. Light rain also occurred in some areas of central and south Mumbai.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy (115.5-204.4 mm) rain at isolated places over Konkan, Goa on June 8 and 9. At the same time, heavy to very heavy rains are expected at various places over Madhya Maharashtra on June 9.
