Monsoon will arrive soon, these states may get relief from heat from tomorrow, Meteorological Department predicts

Monsoon 2024: Even though the entire North India including the national capital Delhi is experiencing severe heat, the monsoon is kind to South and Northeast India. The latest forecast of the Meteorological Department says that favorable conditions are being created for the advancement of the southwest monsoon. Due to this, the monsoon is moving ahead of its scheduled time. So far it has spread to some parts of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Lakshadweep and Andaman Nicobar. Apart from this, monsoon has also reached all the states of the North East.

The Meteorological Department said that in the next one or two days, monsoon can bring rain in many areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Usually the date of entry of monsoon in Bihar is June 10, but it can knock in the eastern part of the state about a week earlier. Based on the new satellite imagery, the monsoon line seen today is the area around Cooch Behar and Kishanganj in Bengal.

Heavy to very heavy rains predicted in Kerala

Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Kerala today and has issued an orange alert. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Assam and Meghalaya and said that heavy to very heavy rains are likely between June 3 and 5. In such a situation, the department has also issued an alert for coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department said in its bulletin that a bi-cyclonic low pressure center is forming at this time, due to which heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is active in the troposphere over northeast Assam, while the other circulation remains in and around Kerala. According to the Meteorological Department, due to this cyclonic condition, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in many parts of Kerala, Mahe and Karnataka. Heavy rains have been recorded in these areas on Sunday as well. Karnataka's capital Bengaluru recorded 111.1 mm of rain on Sunday, which is a record breaking figure of 133 years.

Prediction of storm in South India

According to the Meteorological Department, lightning and thunderstorms accompanied with strong winds of 30-40 kmph are likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at many places, a few places or one or two places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days. According to the IMD, UP, MP and Chhattisgarh are also likely to get relief from heat and rain in the next two days.

In the last 24 hours, rainfall was observed at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and several places in Rayalaseema. Tirupati in Rayalaseema recorded the highest temperature of 43.4 degrees Celsius, the report said. The national capital Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, two degrees above the season's average. Among various weather stations in Delhi, Najafgarh recorded a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, while Narela recorded a temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius. Aya Nagar in south Delhi recorded a temperature of 43.4 degrees, Ridge 43.7 degrees and Palam 43.5 degrees Celsius.

Dust storm likely in Delhi

The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather in the capital Delhi on Monday. It has predicted normal rain with hot winds, dust storms and thunderstorms at different places. Along with this, strong winds at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometers per hour are also expected. The humidity level in Delhi was recorded between 29 percent and 44 percent on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital are likely to reach 44 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively on Monday.

Many places in Haryana and Punjab in North India also experienced intense heat on Sunday with Sirsa recording a maximum temperature of 45.4 degrees Celsius. According to the weather department, Sirsa was the hottest place in Haryana. Elsewhere in the state, Bhiwani recorded a maximum temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius, while Rohtak recorded a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius. Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 42.3 degrees Celsius, Hisar 42.7 degrees Celsius, while Gurugram and Faridabad recorded 42.5 degrees Celsius and 43.9 degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum temperature in Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, was recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Bathinda, Punjab was recorded at 45.1 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Amritsar was 43.5 degrees Celsius, Ludhiana 42.2 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature in Patiala was 42.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Gurdaspur was 43.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature in Faridkot was 42.5 degrees Celsius.
