Odisha Meteorological Department declared red alert
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Odisha for the next three days due to the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal. According to the IMD forecast, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal districts will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall (seven to 20 cm) at isolated places and extremely heavy rainfall (more than 20 cm) at some places. The Meteorological Department has issued a 'red alert' for these five districts. On Monday, an 'orange alert' has been issued for Ganjam, Koraput, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Sambalpur, Angul and Nayagarh districts. Officials have issued a 'yellow alert' for Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts. The IMD has also predicted rain in many districts of the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Jaipur Meteorological Center spokesperson Radheshyam Sharma said that on Sunday and Monday, most parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur divisions are likely to receive moderate to heavy rain and heavy rain with thunder at some places. Sharma said that on September 10-11, moderate rain is likely to continue in some parts of eastern Rajasthan and heavy rain is likely to be recorded at isolated places in Kota and Udaipur divisions. He said that due to the effect of low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rain activities are likely to increase in some parts of eastern Rajasthan on September 12-13 and heavy rain is likely at some places.
