New Delhi/Guwahati: Before Holi, a very good news has emerged for crores of food providers in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to release the much awaited 22nd installment of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ (PM-Kisan) scheme on 13 March 2026. On this historic day, an amount of Rs 2,000 each will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers of the country. The Agriculture Ministry has given official confirmation for the farmers who have been waiting for this installment for a long time. The government has clarified that this step will prove to be a major milestone in the direction of strengthening the rural economy and further enhancing the respect of farmers.

PM Modi will press the digital button from the soil of Assam

As per the schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on March 13. During a grand program from here, he will send money through DBT to the accounts of crores of beneficiaries across the country through a single click. Let us tell you that under PM Kisan Yojana, the Central Government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to the farmers every year, which is released in three equal installments of Rs 2,000. The main objective of this scheme is to provide timely cash to small and marginal farmers for seeds, fertilizers and other farming expenses, so that they do not have to make rounds of moneylenders.

Attention Your money may get stuck due to these mistakes

Amidst the good news there is also a warning. The Agriculture Ministry has made it clear that this time too the money for the 22nd installment will not reach the accounts of many farmers. The main reason for this is discrepancies in documents and non-completion of necessary formalities. If a farmer’s Aadhar card is not linked to the bank account or there is a mistake in the spelling of the name in the application form, the payment may stop. Apart from this, farmers who have not yet done their ‘land seeding’ (physical verification of land) may also feel disappointed this time. The department has issued an advisory advising farmers to check their status.

Who will get the benefit? Who will not get the installment?
Whose e-KYC is successful. Whose e-KYC is incomplete.
Bank account is linked to Aadhaar. Aadhaar is not updated in the bank account.
Verification of land records (Land Seeding) is complete. Whose land seeding is pending.
Name is registered in the beneficiary list. In whose application there is a mistake in name or address.

e-KYC and land verification is the most important condition

The government has made digital verification mandatory to bring transparency and eliminate middlemen. To get the 22nd installment, farmers have time till March 12 to complete their e-KYC online or by visiting the nearest CSC centre. Without this the payment process will not be completed. Farmers can check whether their eligibility is intact or not through the ‘Know Your Status’ option by visiting the ‘PM Kisan’ portal. If ‘FTO is generated and Payment confirmation is pending’ is visible in your status, then understand that your money is about to arrive.

Basis of economic strength of crores of farmers

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has today become one of the largest DBT schemes in the world. This scheme has not only increased the purchasing power of farmers but has also promoted digital banking in rural areas. Till now, through 21 installments, the government has sent lakhs of crores of rupees to the bank accounts of farmers without any deduction. This installment to be released on March 13 will not only be helpful for farming, but will also double the happiness of the farmers in the coming festive season.
