Former Chief Minister called ED's arrest illegal
Hemant Soren filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court, calling the arrest illegal. After completion of the hearing in this case, the court had reserved its decision on 28 February. Let us tell you that in this case, Hemant Soren had filed an application in the Supreme Court and raised the issue of not getting a decision from the High Court. Hemant Soren said that the case in which he has been arrested is not a case of schedule crime. No case of money laundering has come to light against him. He says that there is no mention of his name in the original document of the disputed land of Badgai area. While hearing the case on February 28, the court had reserved its decision.
Hearing on bail application will be held tomorrow
However, the bail application of the former CM will now be heard tomorrow. Earlier on Wednesday, the bail plea of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accused in the 8.86 acre land case of Badgai area, was heard in the court of ED Special Judge Rajeev Ranjan. Meanwhile, the court directed both the parties to give written replies in this matter.
Application was made to participate in Shraddha
Let us tell you that former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren had applied in the court to attend the funeral of his elder uncle Rajaram Soren. But at that time the court had rejected his application. Meanwhile, the PMLA court rejected his plea for interim bail. Soren has said in the petition filed in the court that his uncle Rajaram Soren had died on April 27. He should be allowed to attend his last rites and Shraddha. For this he had applied for interim bail of 13 days. However, the High Court said in the order that he can participate in the Shraddha even while being in police custody. The court also said that Hemant Soren will not talk to the media while attending the funeral rites.
