Prime Minister Narendra Modi will tomorrow lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. The plan includes improving amenities by developing rooftop plazas in the city center and stations.
According to officials, in this program to be organized virtually, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of 1500 road overbridges and underbridges in different states. This program has been organized at more than 2000 railway stations and construction sites.
The Prime Minister will address this virtual program through video conferencing. Modi will also inaugurate Gomtinagar station in Uttar Pradesh. It is noteworthy that the redevelopment of this railway station will be done at a cost of Rs 385 crore.
Amrit Bharat stations are located in 27 states and union territories. These will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 19,000 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and launch 1500 overbridges and underpasses. These bridges are located in 24 states and union territories. A total of Rs 21,520 crore will be spent on all these bridges.
