Shinkaja will tighten its grip on counterfeit mafia: fine of Rs 10 crore
After this new bill (Amendment in Public Examination Act, 2024) becomes law, the education mafia is not well. If any person is found leaking papers or rigging the examination, he will have to face jail of 5 to 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh. At the same time, if any big organized gang is found involved in this game, then the punishment will start from 7 years and the fine can go up to Rs 10 crore.
Investigation will be completed in 2 months, fast-track courts will be created.
Often it takes years to get justice in such cases, but this will not happen under the new law. The investigation of any rigging will have to be completed within only two months. Apart from this, special fast-track courts will be created in the states and union territories, which will have to give their final verdict within just three months of the filing of the charge sheet.
Nandan Nilekani’s task force will improve NTA
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also announced a high-powered task force to bring back students’ confidence in the exam system. Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, who laid the foundation of successful projects like ‘Aadhaar’, has been made the chairman of this committee. This team includes former ISRO Chief S. Veterans like Somnath, former IB director Tapan Deka, IIT Chennai director V. Kamakoti and former education secretary Anita Karwal are also included.

After the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi has now been given the additional charge of the Education Ministry. After an important meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, Joshi has clarified that the main goal of this new bill and Nilekani’s task force is to make the country’s examination system 100% safe and transparent through Artificial Intelligence and modern technology, so that injustice is not done to any student in future.
