Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the model answer key of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination. Three questions have been canceled in the answer key of the re-exam held on January 4, 2025. The Commission has clarified that the marks of these canceled questions will be awarded equally to all the candidates.
Major Updates:
- There has been no change or cancellation of questions in the questions of the examination held on December 13, 2024.
- Candidates can submit their objections on the answer key till 16 January 2025.
- To lodge an objection, candidates will have to submit evidence and facts.
- The Commission has simultaneously released the model answers of the examination held at 911 examination centers on 13 December and the examination held at 22 centers of Bapu Examination Complex on 4 January.
Canceled questions and reasons
- Question of Tropic of Cancer:
- Question: Before 2000 AD, the Tropic of Cancer used to pass through Bihar. Now it passes through Jharkhand.
- Problem: Neither option is correct.
- Question Cancelled:
- Set-I: Question 79
- Set-J: Question 88
- Set-K: Question 93
- Set-L: Question 109
- Question about snowfall in Uttar Pradesh:
- Question: There has been no snowfall in Uttar Pradesh after the separation of Uttarakhand.
- Problem: Neither option is correct.
- Question Cancelled:
- Set-I: Question 91
- Set-J: Question 82
- Set-K: Question 97
- Set-L: Question 08
- Census 2023 question:
- Question: No census was held in 2023.
- Problem: Census 2021 could not be conducted due to Covid-19. Now this is likely to happen in 2025.
- Question Cancelled:
- Equally in all sets.
Important information related to examination and recruitment
- Result of preliminary exam: Likely to be declared this month.
- Main Examination: Will be held soon after the preliminary examination.
- This examination is considered to be the biggest vacancy in the history of BPSC.
- Original Vacancy: 1957 posts.
- Increased vacancy: 2035 posts.
- Reservation: The provision of 50% reservation will be applicable in appointments.
