MLA visited ward number 21 regarding the problem of drain overflow.

Jammu, 15 October (Hindustan Reporter). After taking charge of Bahu Assembly constituency, MLA Vikram Randhawa conducted an on-site inspection of Ward No. 21 to resolve the problems being faced by the local residents due to overflowing of drains during rains. Randhawa, along with Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) and Junior Engineers (JEE), expressed serious concern over the problems being faced by the people of the ward due to overflowing of drains during rains. Local people said that water enters their houses and disrupts daily life. He directed to expedite the construction of the drain and stressed that the project should be completed quickly so that people do not face further inconvenience.

He said that strong drainage systems should be constructed to prevent flooding of rain water in residential areas so as to ensure the safety and convenience of the people. The senior BJP leader said it is important that before starting any construction work, the concerns of the local community are heard and their suggestions are considered. People should feel safe and this can happen only when they are involved in the decision making process.
