Jammu, 13 November (HIST). The people of Jammu region will never forgive the National Conference and Congress for their decades of bias and neglect. Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta said this after launching development initiatives in wards 13, 29 and 31 of the West assembly constituency. These development works will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 57 lakh with an aim to address the long-standing infrastructure needs. This includes drainage upgrades, road improvements and enhancement of public amenities to provide essential amenities to the residents of these areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta highlighted the injustice faced by the people of Jammu region over the years during the previous NC-Congress regime and said that their policies continuously marginalized the region and hindered its progress. He said for more than 60 years, NC and Congress turned a blind eye to the aspirations of the people of Jammu. Focused on Kashmir province and ignored the legitimate demands of the citizens of Jammu. Since 2014, the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center has reversed this history of discrimination with a vision of balanced, inclusive growth for all. Gupta later interacted with local residents to discuss their concerns and gather feedback on community needs.
