Dozens of villages are surrounded by water for about 15 days. Water has entered the houses of many villages. Traffic in the villages has been disrupted and many roads have been broken while chest-deep water is flowing on many roads.
The MLA has also said that while the flood water has destroyed the crops of all the farmers of the area, the villagers are also facing problems in defecation. Especially women are facing more problems. There is a shortage of food and water among the people.
He has requested that the flood affected people of the above mentioned Panchayats of Rupauli block should be provided ration first and more boats should be arranged. Plastic should be made available to every needy person to protect them from rain. Two mobile toilets should be arranged in every Panchayat for the affected people to defecate. Along with this, the area should be declared flood affected and the crop damage should be assessed and compensation should be given to the farmers.
