MLA Vidyasagar Keshari alias Manchan Keshari met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Urban Development and Housing Department Minister Nitin on the allocation of Rs 25 crore by the Urban Development and Housing Department of Bihar Government for the arrangements for the devotees including cleaning the ghats on Chhath Puja. Expressed gratitude towards Naveen. MLA instructed Forbesganj Municipal Council and Jogbani to quickly complete the work of cleaning the ghats on both sides of river canal and ponds in Forbesganj Assembly, construction of ghat, lighting change rooms and barricading on dangerous ghats. The MLA said that the Chief Councilor of Forbesganj and Jogbani Municipal Council pays almost lakhs of rupees per month per ward to the NGO agency authorized for cleaning the wards, yet garbage is piled up at dozens of places in the city. Before Diwali, instructions were given to the executive officer to run an intensive cleanliness campaign in the city, spraying bleaching powder and fogging. The MLA asked the Block Development Officer to ensure cleanliness of the ghats of all the Panchayats of Forbesganj and arrangements for change room barricading.
