MLA Deepesh Sahu administered pulse polio dose to children

Bemetara, 3 March (Hindustan Reporter). Self. Dr. The district level National Pulse Polio Campaign was inaugurated on Sunday at Chetan Singh Verma Maternal and Child Hospital, Bemetara. The said inauguration program was started by Dipesh Sahu, MLA of Bemetara assembly constituency, by administering polio drops to the children.

During the program, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr. S Churendra, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Sharad Kohade, District Program Manager Lata Banjare, Hospital Consultant Swati Yadu, DPC Sampurti Banjare, DPHNO Hina Sinha, Media Incharge, Sanjay Tiwari, Office Assistant Vaccination, Devendra Namdev, Councilor Neetu Kothari and hospital staff including children aged 0 to 5 years. And parents were present. Through whom the children present were immunized by administering polio vaccine. During the program, the program was started by the MLA by administering 02 drops of polio dose to a total of 05 children, after which all the officials present gave the polio dose to the children one by one.

A target has been set to vaccinate 100 percent children in booths against the total target of 95862 in the district. To make the said program successful, 793 polio booths have been established in the entire district, in which 2880 vaccinators will immunize children of the target age group by administering polio doses. Polio booth has been established at District Bemetara New Bus Stand under the District Headquarters, in front of City Kotwali Police Station Bemetara, where polio medicines can be administered to the commuters, along with this, polio booths have been established in all the wards of the urban area.

According to the information received by the Chief Medical and Health Officer, under the National Pulse Polio Program today, in the first day activity, children aged 0 to 5 years are being given polio doses under the booth. On the second and third day, the children left behind will be given polio vaccine by visiting door to door, for the inspection of which 109 supervisors and district level monitoring teams will be monitored for the success of the program in the district. While appealing to the District Immunization Officer, it was said that all the children aged between 0 to 5 years must be given polio vaccine and the members of the polio team should help in giving the dose to the missing children during door-to-door visits.
