However, Dow Johns Futures seems to be trading with a slight increase today. European markets closed with mixed results during the last session. Mixed trading is taking place in Asian markets also today.
During the last session before the presidential elections in the US, investors traded in a cautious posture, due to which the Wall Street indices closed with a decline. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,713.05 points with a weakness of 0.28 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq slipped 0.37 percent and ended the last session's trading at the level of 18,172.66 points. Whereas Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 41,826.20 with a strength of 0.08 percent.
European markets closed with mixed results after facing volatility during the previous session. The FTSE index closed at 8,184.24 points with a rise of 0.09 percent. On the other hand, the CAC index ended the previous session's trading at 7,371.71 points, down 0.51 per cent. Apart from this, DAX index fell by 107.12 points or 0.56 percent and closed at the level of 19,147.85 points.
Mixed trading is also being seen in Asian markets today. Out of the 9 markets in Asia, the indices of 5 are trading in the green mark with gains, while 4 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 24,095 points with a weakness of 0.11 percent. Similarly, the Straits Times Index has fallen by 0.09 percent to reach the level of 3,568.69 points. Apart from this, Kospi Index slipped 0.15 percent and was trading at the level of 2,585.10 points and Jakarta Composite Index fell 0.16 percent and was trading at the level of 7,467.63 points.
On the other hand, Nikkei index is trading at the level of 38,519.26 points with a gain of 465.59 points or 1.22 percent. Similarly, the Hang Seng Index has jumped 261.60 points or 1.27 percent to reach the level of 20,829.12 points. Apart from this, Shanghai Composite Index was trading at 3,369.70 points with a gain of 1.77 percent, SET Composite Index was trading 0.75 percent stronger at 1,473.92 points and Taiwan Weighted Index was trading at 23,089.58 points with a gain of 124.19 points i.e. 0.54 percent.
