Ranchi, 24 October (HS). A BJP delegation led by Sudhir Srivastava met Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar at the Election Commission on Thursday. He demanded the Chief Electoral Officer to cancel the nomination of JMM candidate Mithilesh Thakur from Garhwa.
Sudhir Srivastava told that as soon as the elections were announced, the way Mithilesh Thakur's associates were openly distributing liquor, clothes, sarees and watches in every village and appealing to vote in favor, in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
