Saharsa, 29 September (Hindustan Reporter). On the second day of the two-day national convention, a discussion was organized on the demand for creation of a separate Mithila state under the Indian Constitution and the closing ceremony was concluded with a new resolution at the Abhinav Celebration Auditorium located in Vidyapati Nagar of the city. All national level officials participated in the organizational discussion.
Addressing the last session, National President of Mithila Party, Avinash Bhardwaj said that Mithila has all the qualifications of a state from geographical, economic, historical and cultural point of view. It is unfortunate that it was not given the status of a state at the time of India's independence. As a result, in the years before and after independence, its economic structure gradually got destroyed. Exploitation and neglect increased so much that all industries came to an end and agriculture related to it got destroyed.
He said that the orgy of floods and famines every year and the hollow assurances, deception and exploitation of politicians have become the destiny of this place. Therefore, even if states have been formed on the basis of exploitation and development, the formation of Mithila state is absolutely necessary and timely. Dozens of people including Vidya Bhushan Rai, Gulfam Rahmani, Sagar Navdiya, Amit Thakur, Rajneesh Priyadarshi, Arjun Das, Raj Paswan, Raman Jha, Jhameli Ram were present in the session organized on Mithila state.
