Mission 2027: UP shines in BJP President Nitin Naveen’s new team, 8 veteran leaders get big responsibilities

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a big and strategic move regarding Uttar Pradesh, which is considered most important in terms of Indian politics. BJP’s newly elected national president Nitin Naveen has announced his new national team on Monday, in which eight veteran leaders of Uttar Pradesh have been given command of very important posts. UP getting this strong stake in the national organization just before the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is a clear indication that the party does not want to leave any stone unturned in the electoral battle.

Big exercise to solve caste and social equation

Political analysts believe that this selection of faces from UP in Nitin Naveen’s new team has been done keeping in mind the very measured social and political equations. Especially by putting forward the faces of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and minority communities, the party seems to be preparing a counter to the PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority) formula of the opposition parties, especially Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. In this new list, two vice-presidents, two general secretaries, two secretaries and presidents of two important fronts have been made from Uttar Pradesh, which further strengthens the political influence of the state.

These veterans got place in Team Nitin

The prominent leaders of Uttar Pradesh who have been included in this new national executive of BJP include many big names at the top level:

  • National Vice President: Former MP from Dhaurahra Rekha Verma and former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Legislative Council member Prof. Tariq Mansoor has been given the responsibility of National Vice President. The experience of both the leaders is considered very important for the party.

  • National General Secretary: The party has given the big responsibility of the post of National General Secretary to former Union Minister Smriti Irani and former MP from Basti Harish Dwivedi.

  • National Minister: To speed up the organizational work, Dr. Bhola Singh and Sangeeta Yadav have been made national ministers.

  • Morcha President: Rajya Sabha MP Amarpal Maurya, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed president of the National Backward Class Morcha. His long activism on the organizational front will further strengthen the party’s hold among the backward classes. Along with this, by making Kunwar Basit Ali the President of National Minority Morcha, the party has given a clear message of sharpening its reach among the Muslim community.

Big political message before 2027 assembly elections

The inclusion of eight big leaders from Uttar Pradesh in the national organization proves that UP is paramount in the agenda of the central leadership in view of the upcoming assembly elections. The main objective of the party is to make its political hold in every section impenetrable along with organizational expansion so that the electoral hurdle can be easily overcome.
