Bareilly, March 15 (HS). Mahadev Overbridge was inaugurated in the district a day earlier. On both sides of the overbridge, posters of Chief Minister Yogi, Mayor Umesh Gautam and religious pictures were put up. On Thursday night, a young man named Vijay Kashyap was passing through the overbridge, during which he saw many torn posters lying on the ground. Gutkha was also spit on the posters. It has been alleged that derogatory acts have also been done with the picture of Lord Bholenath. As soon as information about the matter was received, people of Hindu organization also reached the spot.
People of Hindu organization said that religious faith has been hurt by this incident. After which many people including Vijay Kashyap along with cow protector Chandan, Dhruv, Mahant Ajay Sharma of Mangala Mata Mandir Gali Nawaban reached the police station. He demanded installation of cameras on the overbridge and investigation into the matter and action against the accused.
CO First Sandeep Singh said that some posters put up on the newly constructed bridge were found torn, on which a complaint was lodged by the Hindu organization expressing objection. The torn posters have been removed from there, on the basis of the complaint received by the Hindu organization, action will be taken by registering a case against the unknown person under appropriate sections, the police is investigating the entire matter.
