Kaushambi, 06 March (Hindustan Reporter). Copper and oil from the high tension transformer installed on Mustafabad canal of Sarai Akil police station area has been stolen. The miscreants committed the crime by removing it from the supply line. The cover of the transformer was found lying in a wheat field 50 meters away from its location. JE Purkhas has filed a complaint with the police station demanding legal action.
A 33/11 KW power house is installed in Purkhas town of Sarai Akil. Electricity is supplied to 96 nearby villages from this power house. On Wednesday morning, someone called Lineman Wasim from Mustafabad village and informed him about the line break.
Lineman Wasim, while patrolling, found the supply converter transformer (250KV) installed on the pole of the high tension line near Mustafabad Canal missing from its designated place. About 50 meters away, the cover of the transformer was found open in a damaged condition. Oil and copper was found missing from the transformer. The line man informed the matter to JE Purkhas Mohammad Safiq. JE immediately reached the spot. During the investigation, JE Safiq was shocked to see how the miscreants removed the transformer from the electricity supply line and stole its precious oil (about 100 L) and copper. JE has filed a complaint with the police station demanding legal action.
Junior Engineer Mohammad Safiq said, in the morning he got information from the lineman about the theft of transformer oil and copper. 250KV T/F 11000 power supply was installed to convert it into 440. Due to theft of which electricity has been cut in many villages. Which is being made operational by installing a transformer. A complaint has been lodged with the police station against the unknown and legal action has been demanded.
Station in-charge Vineet Singh said, the police station has received a complaint letter from Purkhas Junior Engineer Electricity. The case is being investigated by the local police inspector. During spot inspection, departmental involvement in the incident could not be ruled out. The accused will be arrested soon after completing the investigation of the case.
