As per the decided protocol, during the opening ceremony, while Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Mirabai Chanu will proudly walk ahead holding the tricolor flag of India, on the other hand, Olympic bronze medalist boxer Lovlina Borgohain will lead the Indian team with the coveted baton in her hand. Under the official rules of the Glasgow Games, the batons of all 74 Commonwealth countries and territories will be brought together just before the start of the competition, followed by a grand ceremony.
