Moradabad, 18 September (HS). On Wednesday, the police arrested a minor accused of molesting and making obscene gestures at a girl student of a village in the Thakurdwara police station area. All the arrested accused belong to another community and are minors.
Last week, a village resident of Thakurdwara area had given a complaint to the police station Kotwali police that his daughter is a class 12 student in an inter college in the village. A boy from another community living in Kamalpuri Khalsa village of the police station area does obscene acts with his minor daughter while going to school. He has also molested her several times by stopping her on the way.
The complainant's father says that the accused has also sent obscene messages on his home mobile. After which the police station registered a report against the accused under POCSO and other sections. Inspector Thakurdwara Sudesh Pal Singh said that the accused minor student has been arrested on Wednesday. He will be presented before the Child Welfare Committee on Thursday.
